The graphic artist and designer from Badalona, Joan Pedragosa, has participated in the exhibition «1950-2000, 5 graphic designers», sponsored by the Caja de Asturias Savings Bank, which has been held at the International Art Centre of the Revillagigedo Palace in Oviedo since last November. With this exhibition the organisers wished to pay tribute to and recognise the professional careers of the Catalan graphic artists Amand Domènech, Enric Huguet, Josep Pla-Narvona, Tomàs Vellvé and Joan Pedragosa, all of them founders of the Association of Graphic Designers for the Promotion of the Decorative Arts (FAD), for their work in contributing to the dignity and professional and international prestige of graphic design in Spain during the difficult decades of the ‘60s and ‘70s. The exhibition, which is quite extensive and retrospective in character, offers a selection of the best creations of posters, logotypes and furniture art done by the five graphic designers in the course of their extensive professional careers. Though only Joan Pedragosa continues working at present, the five designers conceived five original logos inspired by the theme of Asturias, which they wished to present as a gift to the community..
